Today’s team spotlight is an amazing group of women who are playing flag football to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimers Association.
Created in the fall of 2005 by a group of driven young professional women in Washington D.C., eleven years later Blondes vs. Brunettes ® has grown into a major source of fundraising for the Alzheimer’s Association (in D.C. and nationwide), and a standout even in Washington.
Still led 100% by young women, Blondes vs. Brunettes ® continues to tackle the devastating impact of Alzheimer’s disease through its annual major fundraising and awareness campaign culminating in the November 5, 2016 game.

Over the past 11 years, BvB DC has raised over $850,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association. Since that inaugural game, the event has successfully branched to more than 30 additional cities, raising more than $7 million. There is zero overhead cost to the organization, and they’re 100% volunteer-driven. 100% of the proceeds go directly to the Alzheimer’s Association.
We’re thrilled to have women all over the United States playing flag football for Alzheimer’s Association. You can join in the fun by visiting their website here and joining their BVB chapter Charity Miles teams. Just search BvB in teams and join the DC chapter or a team near you.
