Chaz Davis: Running With Vision

Our friends at BibRave and AfterShokz are collaborating on a new podcast series called, Making It

The series explores the pathways, trials, and tribulations of a variety of athletes as they try to “make it” at the highest levels of their sport.

In their first episode, they're bringing you the story of Chaz Davis – a high-performing college track athlete who was really starting to hit his stride before everything changed. He was suddenly struck with an ailment known as Leber Hereditary Optic Neuropathy – a common mitochondrial disorder that robbed him of his sight.

Listen to the episode to hear how Chaz was initially crushed, how he regained his motivation and learned to run again, and how he plans to compete in the Marathon at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games.

You can find this episode of Making It wherever you get your podcasts! Here are some quick links to listen on iTunesStitcher, Overcast, and Spotify.

Big thanks to our partners at AfterShokz who make this podcast, and everything we do at Charity Miles possible!

If you're listening to this podcast while walking or running, I hope you're wearing their open-ear bone conduction headphones.

Not only do they enable you to listen to your podcasts and music safely, but since they don't go in your ear, they are the most comfortable headphones I've ever owned– and they never fall out!
