This week’s Charity Miles Champion is Corinne Tousey. She has taken her fitness journey to the next level by running half marathons and for a cause. With the help of the Tone it Up community and the Charity Miles Team she has found inspiration.
Last year, I was inspired to push my fitness goals to the next level by running a half marathon. With the help of the amazing Tone It Up (TIU) community, I not only finished the Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon, but I also completed the Brooklyn Half Marathon.
I started using Charity Miles in September, for the TIU fall challenge. The TIU trainers, Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott designed the Charity Challenge. Community members had 8 weeks to run 100 miles for charity. Each member of the community was supported and encouraged through training plans and social media check-ins. We pushed each other so that we could dream bigger, work harder, and achieve greatness.
I was amazed when I heard about Charity Miles. I downloaded, chose a charity, and started moving. The app tracked my elliptical and trail runs. After my workouts, I felt accomplished, but it wasn’t always easy getting myself started. Charity Miles helped me through the challenge and motivated me to stay on track for a cause.
Exercise is a huge part of my life. Before I was working to get fit and now my efforts are impacting someone else’s life. Thank you for everything you do.
