Charity Spotlight: Nothing but Nets

Every 60 seconds a child in Africa dies from malaria. But insecticide-treated bed nets can keep kids safe. Nothing but Nets has sent over 9 million of these life-saving nets to families in Africa.

How does it work? A $10 contribution goes towards the cost of purchasing a long-lasting, insecticide-treated bed net, distributing it and educating communities on its use. Nothing But Nets work with UN partners like UNICEF, the UN Refugee Agency, and the World Health Organization to purchase nets and distribute them to countries in Africa.

At the United Nations General Assembly, Nothing but Nets announced their partnership with Sumitomo Chemical Co. Sumitomo Chemical issued a matching grant challenge. For every net donated this year Sumitomo will match the donation. This year, they also launched The Million Nets Pledge to protect refugee families from malaria with one million bednets by 2016. You can help Nothing but Nets reach its goal by donating your Charity Miles.
