This week’s Charity Spotlight is on one of our newest partners, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. We’re so inspired by the teams that walk, run, and bike for the MS Society. Multiple sclerosis (MS) involves an immune-mediated process in which an abnormal response of the body’s immune system is directed against the central nervous system (CNS), which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. The Society's mission is simple to have a world free of MS.
They have a strategic plan that involves making sure people living with MS have effective treatment choices and solutions. They also are creating a supportive community and connecting people affected by MS to the resources they need.
To say we’re excited to have them as a partner is an understatement. To raise funds they have a variety of activities you can get involved in. They host Walk MS, Bike MS, Muck Fest, and Finish MS.
One of our favorite stories of fundraising for The Society comes from “Land Title Peleton Pretenders” (highlighted in the video above). They’re a group of colleagues that gets together to train for the Bike MS events. It’s amazing to see friends and colleagues get together to fight MS.
