Today is the first day of summer! The Charity Miles Squad is celebrating this beautiful Monday by logging miles all over New York. Steph walked her dogs for ASPCA, Lauren ran in Central Park for Every Mother Counts, Matt’s taking on Finland for Nature Conservancy and Gene had a walking meeting logging my miles for MJFF.

But the day is only half over, and there’s still plenty of daylight. Because today is the longest day of the year!

As many of you know, June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month, an opportunity to educate people on the realities of the disease. And, today, the Alzheimer’s Association® invites you to participate in the Longest Day®, a sunrise to sunset event that encourages people across the world to do what they love to honor those facing Alzheimer’s disease.

Most of us know someone affected by Alzheimer’s Disease. So whatever you’re doing today please take advantage of the extra daylight to walk at least one Charity Mile for the Alzheimer’s Association.

And of course Happy Summer!

This is Charity Miles Champion Mandi (you can find her on Instagram @mandielyse_tiu). She runs for the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of her husband's grandmother. You can run to #ENDALZ by logging your Charity Miles for them.
