Our Charity Miles Champion this week is Abbie Saulsberry. Abbie is a high school student from East Tennessee who dedicates her runs to her sister a former St. Jude’s patient. See more about what she’s doing to stay active while giving back.

I’m a high school student living in East Tennessee. I love to run and used Charity Miles while training for my first half marathon. I continue to use Charity Miles while training for some upcoming races. I love running all distances, but really enjoy the half marathon and 10k.

Charity Miles serves as my biggest motivator! For the days when going for a run doesn’t sound at all appealing, Charity Miles has reminded me of the impact I can make by simply moving.

I discovered Charity Miles in an online search for the best fitness apps. I decided to try it, and have been hooked ever since. Charity Miles is now my favorite app. The fact that people can get in some exercise while raising money for charity is incredible!

My favorite charity to log miles for is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Having a sister who was a St. Jude patient, I have a personal connection to that particular charity and have seen firsthand the amazing work they do. I’ve also completed miles for Feeding America and Special Olympics.
