Last weekend, I was in Evanston, Illinois, home of my alma mater, the Northwestern Wildcats.  So I put out the beacon to all the Chicago area Charity Milers to see if anyone would like to go for a run.

Well, it was a beautiful day in Lake Michigan. And we had a great group of Charity Milers, including:

  • A fan favorite, the Foxy Ninja, Jimmy Choi (from episode 5)
  • Bill Bucklew, another Team Foxer who is planning to walk across the U.S.
  • My long-lost cousin, Liz has some cool stories about my grandfather, the original Gene Gurkoff
  • Francisco Robles, my good friend and old sparring partner from my boxing days.

I gotta tell you– we had a blast.  And I hope you all enjoy coming along for an easy run with us.  #EveryMileMatters.
